The Great Wall

Located 3 hours away from Beijing. Took a 3 hour hike up the steep incline of the Great Wall. It was amazing!

A grandmother and her grandson were looking through the shop window. I couldn't help but to take their photo and nor could they help but to be exstatic about having their photo taken.

Dumplings, dumplings, and more dumplings! A friend and I took a journey to find these dumplings. Just as we were about to give up we found them! Turned out it was hidden the corner of a fancy mall. The Chinese are well known for their delicious, greasy, take-out all over there world and it is no different in China itself. If it wasn't for the steamed dumplings I don't know if I would have made it through on greasy Chinese food alone.

After living in Scotland for a year we decided it was time to make our journey to the famous Lochness Lake.

Dachau, Germany

We visited the memorial/Dachau concentration camp. There was a constant eerie feeling in the air and a smell that haunted even today's tourists.

Crete, Greece

I had very mixed feelings about Crete. Amazing, fresh good and relaxing atmosphere. Sometimes it was a bit too laid back for me and the hoarding by the locals was a bit out of hand but nothing that would keep me from the amazing beaches.

Schwangau, Germany

Neuschwanstein Castle was like something out of a fairy tale. We went on a tour of the inside but it did not compare to the exterior. Its location and surroundings are what made it so magical. I took this shot on our way out, waiting for the bus. A bit of a fog rolled in with the rain we had to run down the hill in.

Uenokoen Zoo

My first experience seeing a real lotus flower. They are much bigger in person and have a powerful energy about them. There were tons of them outside of Ueno Zoo.

Taito Kaminarimon Tokyo Japan

The worlds smallest sushi! It took us a while to find this place. Every time we had a chance to go it was closed and when they were finally open we kept getting lost. When we walked in we felt as though we had walked into someones living room. Men gathered around the sushi bar drinking and eating. Being the only women, foreigners at that, all eyes were on us in the quaint little place. Im glad we found it!

Okinawa, Japan

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. The scale of this place was breathtaking. There were multiple whale sharks in the tank that you can see at all angles.

Ukyo-Ku, Kyoto Japan Bamboo Park

A magical walk through a forrest of bamboo. It had a very calming and peaceful spirit about it.

Hatsukaichi Hiroshima Japan

We had to take a fairy to get to this amazing park. The tide rises by the end of the day surrounding the temple by night. Dear also wondered freely here.

Nishikyo-Ku, Kyoto Monkey Park

Monkeys run free here! This was an awesome experience. The way up included a big hike that would have been much more enjoyable with out the humidity. Once we got up there there were monkeys galore. We had to get behind this fence to feed them incase they got aggressive when food was involved.

The canal was a very lively night spot great for a night stroll.
